This hotel has only recently reopened after extensive renovations and its new owner (Pranet) is the host with the most. I haven't eaten there but the bar area is really welcoming, comfortable and relaxed. Went there on a Sunday evening and…

Went here for an early dinner last week before the rugby game. It was a nice newly renovated space with normal pub food. Definitely go back particularly on match days.

Drinks after the AFL game here is being a ritual. Fast service for the crowds, live music, TV screens with other games on so kinda of a sport fan paradise. The pub itself is beautiful after being totally renovated.

I am on a pub "crawl" of all the historic pubs around Sydney. This week it was the Olympic on Moore Park Rd opposite the new Allianz Stadium. The hotel is beautifully restored and maintained. Very comfortable inside. The service was great…

About the stay

A boutique stay in Paddington

A Paddington landmark since 1936 — once the Adelaide Hotel, rebuilt and renamed in the Art Deco era. Beautifully restored, the Olympic pairs characterful rooms (original high ceilings and arched windows) with a ground-floor sports bar, the 3 Olives restaurant and a rooftop terrace. You're a 3-minute walk from the SCG and 4 from Allianz Stadium — the closest bed to the action.

Where to eat & unwind

Cold beers on tap, pub classics and every game on the screens downstairs; cocktails and craft beer up on the rooftop with views over Paddington's terraces. The SCG is a 3-minute walk, Allianz Stadium 4, and Royal Randwick 7 — with Oxford Street's cafes and the Saturday markets an easy stroll away.
